The UEFA Champions League semi-finals will allow two of the biggest clubs in Europe to clash, as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich will collide in a 2 legs round. Cristiano Ronaldo assures the German team will get all the attention and respect they deserve, since they must be regarded as a big candidate to lift the UEFA Champions League trophy in May.

After helping Real Madrid securing the presence in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, Cristiano Ronaldo granted a few statements regarding their next opponent in the competition, Bayern Munich. The Portuguese player showed a lot of respect for the German side and noted that they must be seen as a serious contender for winning this UEFA Champions League edition. In around two from weeks now, the two teams will begin fighting for a spot in the May 19th final, on which they will either face Barcelona or Chelsea.

Cristiano Ronaldo in Real Madrid vs APOEL's post-match interview:

Still on the pitch and sweating after his performance against APOEL this Wednesday night, where he ended up scoring two more goals, Cristiano Ronaldo briefly commented the match and previewed two tough games against Bayern Munich, set for the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

Cristiano Ronaldo: "Thankfully, things have been working out very well over the last games and I truly hope we can keep our form in the upcoming games. I'm very happy, not only for being able to give my contribute to the team, but also because all my teammates have been phenomenal", noted Real Madrid's forward.

Real Madrid's coach, José Mourinho, also shared his view on the club's next opponent in the Champions League and doesn't doubt that football fans will have ahead of them two great games. Mourinho: "Bayern Munich is a very strong rival. They are powerful at an institutional level as well as football wise. I know them very well because I played against them just two years ago, when I was at Inter Milan. They have terrific players and awesome supporters."

The Portuguese coach then concluded his thoughts, with an interesting remark regarding the other semi-finals clash, between Chelsea and Barcelona. José Mourinho: "A semi-final between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid will certainly be very entertaining to watch. As for the other semi-final, I'm sure Barcelona will get their spot in the final, because they are very good...", commented the Special One.

I'm sure it's going to be very difficult to get past them, but let's just wait and see", previewed and alerted the Portuguese player. The first leg will be held in Munich, on the 17th of April, while the 2nd leg will take place in the Santiago Bernabéu on the 25th of April.
