Ronaldo is back in Al Nassr training just days after marrying Georgina Rodriguez, with new manager Ange Postecoglou welcoming his captain ahead of the new Saudi Pro League season. The Portuguese star’s quick return has increased anticipation around his first appearance under the Australian coach.
New manager Ange Postecoglou has welcomed Cristiano Ronaldo back to training at Al Nassr, ahead of the start of the Saudi Pro League season. Ronaldo, who was sporting a new haircut on his return, only got married on August 11 but was seen back in training a couple of days later. The 41-year-old wasted little time returning to work as Al Nassr step up preparations for their opening fixtures under their new manager. His early return also gave Postecoglou the chance to begin working closely with his captain, who will once again be expected to play a major role in the club's push for domestic silverware this season.

Ange Postecoglou coach replaced Jorge Jesus in the Al Nassr dugout on July 3. The Australian has signed a two-year contract and has initially been tasked with defending the Saudi Pro League title won by the club on the last day of last season.
In taking over the club, the former Tottenham manager also took on the role of managing Ronaldo just days before the Portuguese and his international teammates were dumped out of the competition by eventual winners Spain.
Ronaldo has become one of the most famous people in the world, having played at some of the biggest clubs in the world since his professional debut in 2002. He has become the face of football for a lot of people, and his longevity, as well as his enduring skills, have further ignited the game’s popularity.
Football is the most popular sport in the world with nearly half the global population identifying as football fans. Games are broadcast online, as well as on international TV. The sport has become a popular subject for movies, TV, and documentaries. And, it has spawned generations of video and other games. Casinos and bingo sites online include football-themed games like Football Roulette Live and Big Bass Football Bonanza because they are aware of the enduring market pull of the sport.
Despite being one of the most famous footballers in the world - if not the most famous - Ronaldo enjoyed a discreet wedding ceremony earlier this month. He married influencer Georgina Rodriguez on 11 August. The media has reported that the only guests were the couple’s five children.

They also forewent a long honeymoon, as Ronaldo was back in training just 3 days later, with the Saudi season set to start this coming weekend.
The club captain is unlikely to make his season debut in the opening match of the season, although Postecoglou described the Portuguese superstar as a player who is “always ready”, so the possibility shouldn’t be written off completely. However, the club believe he will be in action in match 2 of the season, against Al-Riyadh on August 21.
The number 7 won’t want to miss too many games as he will be hoping to get close to last season’s 28-goal tally. Ronaldo has scored 976 goals across his professional career, which means if he can score 24 more this year, he will pass the 1,000 tally. He has previously stated he won’t retire until he scores at least 1000.
Last year’s total of 28 goals saw him tie for third place in the Saudi leading goalscorers chart, and despite being 41 years old, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star will be pushing to climb back up the ranks.
