10.12.2020 » Ronaldo's biggest passions outside football
We all know that Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best football players in the world. Having already won more than thirty major trophies and scored over seven hundred goals for world-class teams such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, Ronaldo is one of the highest-achieving athletes in the history of the sport. On top of this, he also captains the Portuguese national team! The man's impressive football credentials really are undeniable. But what other passions does he have in life, apart from football?
Cristiano Ronaldo - Rocket launcher:
Ronaldo has been romantically linked to various women, including the supermodel Irina Shayk. Since 2017, he has been in a relationship with Spanish shop assistant Georgina Rodriguez, and the pair have a daughter named Alana Martina. Alana is the fourth of Ronaldo's children, after Cristiano Jr (born in 2010) and twins Eva and Mateo, born via a surrogate earlier in 2017. After Ronaldo's mother recovered from breast cancer in 2009, he donated £100,000 to the hospital that treated her in his hometown of Madeira, Portugal.
Ronaldo certainly dresses the part of a wealthy and stylish celebrity. In 2009, he replaced David Beckham modelling Armani underwear. In 2013, he was pictured wearing a Jacob and Co. watch worth $160,000, gifted to him as part of an endorsement deal he had with the brand. He topped this in 2019 by wearing a Rolex worth over $500,000! Ronaldo also has his own fashion label called CR7.
Football is not the only sporting passion that Ronaldo has – he also has a love of the game of poker, and even with his money, he probably enjoys looking out for the latest casino bonus! In 2015, he signed a deal with an online poker gaming site to promote their services, and he has taken part in various games and tournaments, including games for charity where he faced off against actor Aaron Paul and managed to win. However good he is at the game, it must be fun for him to have a game he can play purely for enjoyment, with no expectations to hold up a stellar reputation.
Many rich and famous celebrities are often seen driving luxurious vehicles. Cristiano Ronaldo's list of cars is extensive and impressive. At the time of writing, he drives a Lamborghini and a Maserati and is believed to also own a Porsche, a Bentley, and a Mercedes. He has previously owned a Ferrari, but unfortunately he crashed it in 2009. In 2019, he purchased a Rolls Royce SUV worth a whopping $360,000.
Ronaldo loves working out and one of the reasons why he has achieved so much success in football has to do with his obsession for perfection when it comes to get the most out of his body. Ronaldo likes working out with a personal trainer, but most of the times he ends up training alone, either at the facilities provided by his club, or in his home gym...
As one of the highest-paid athletes on the planet, Ronaldo certainly has a lot of cash to spend. However, it is not just expensive clothes, cars, and houses that he chooses to invest in. He has also been committed to giving something back for a long time, whether it is regularly making blood and bone marrow donations (the reason that he has no tattoos) or donating over £5 million to the Nepal earthquake relief fund in 2015. This particular act made him the world’s most charitable sportsperson that year!
