24.09.2019 » A quick look at Ronaldo's 2018/2019 season

Cristiano Ronaldo leading Juventus to more trophies

It may not have been the perfect debut season for Ronaldo in Italy, but CR7 certainly didn't disappoint his millions of fans around the world... The Portuguese star naturally struggled a bit in his first weeks, but then adapted well and still helped Juventus winning another Serie A title.

Everybody was surprised when Ronaldo announced his departure from Real Madrid after spending nine years at the club. During that period, he became Real Madrid's top scorer in its history, won 5 Champions League titles and broke countless records. He was so dominant in the league that online bookies were not opening a single sports bet on whether he will score a goal on a certain game or not. If you ask how or why, just keep in mind that in the 438 games that he played for Real Madrid, he scored 450 goals and assisted for another 131. With that being said, he told reporters that he felt like he needed to open a new chapter in his life and dive into another challenge in his career. And since he had never played in the Serie A, Juventus made every effort they could to sign him, which they did, for a price of $131 million. He had a great debut season at the club, and here are some of the records and accomplishments that he managed to reach during that year.

Quickly after starting his season with the Old Lady, he became the fastest player in Juventus' history to score his first 10 goals in just 16 games. Ronaldo also scored Juve's 5000th goal. He was named as the Player of the Month numerous times at Juventus, and at the end of the season, he even got the Serie A MVP Award. Cristiano also became the first player in history to win 100 Champions League matches.

Trophies

The 2018/2019 season has definitely been big and successful for Ronaldo on both club and international level. He played a major part for Juventus in winning the Serie A title and the Supercoppa Italiana. Two trophies in a debut season is a great achievement. On the international level, he helped the Portuguese team win their first-ever UEFA Nations League. Portugal played the final against the Netherlands and won 1-0.
