08.03.2019 » Juventus 4-1 Udinese. Easy win before hosting Atletico!

Moise Kean scores for Juventus

Juventus made easy work of Udinese this Friday night, as they had no difficulties in beating their opponents 4-1 at the Allianz Arena. With Atletico's game in mind and a lot of rotations in the starting lineup, the Bianconeri's MVP was the 19-year old Moise Kean.

Even though the Serie A title fight is virtually over, Juventus needs to keep the pace and win a few more games before it's mathematically assured that they wrap up their 8th consecutive trophy. Tonight, the Vecchia Signora hosted Udinese in Turin and didn't exactly make it easy for the visitors. Allegri's men managed to beat Udinese at the Allianz Arena by 4-1, despite a lot of rotations by the Italian champions. Moise Kean scored a brace, while Can and and Matuidi also scored a goal each. Cristiano Ronaldo watched the game from the bench and was rested for the big game against Atletico Madrid, scheduled for this Tuesday.

Juventus 4-1 Udinese - Goals and highlights:

A surprise called Moise Kean

A 4-1 for Juventus today was the perfect appetizer for the biggest game of the season.

With a 2nd leg at home to Atletico Madrid looming, Juventus took on Udinese at the Allianz but with an eye firmly set on the Champions League next week. Allegri, who has come under major fire in recent weeks, opted for a changed squad hoping to rest some of his veterans ahead of the big clash. The likes of Chiellini, Ronaldo, Dybala, Bonnuci and Manduzkic all began the game on the substitutes bench, while youngster Moise Kean made the most of his opportunities. The 19-year old scored his first brace in the Serie A.

The first goal was a poacher's finish, as Kean did well to tap home a low cross from Alex Sandro, but the second truly showed the long-term potential of the highly rated youngster. Kean was first to get to the ball in midfield and sprinted away leaving the defense in the dust. His finish was a tad unorthodox, but brilliant nonetheless and gave him his second goal for Juve this season.

The second half saw more lively play by Juve. The youngsters did well to show Allegri why they should be playing more. Emre Can would score from the penalty spot in the 67th minute and Matuidi would be rewarded for running all game with a goal of his own, just before Udinese also grabbed a late consolation goal to make it 4-1.

The highlight of this game was clearly Kean's performance, though it's a shame he didn't get his hat-trick, but the performance of Spinazzola was fantastic as well. Today marked the most goals scored in a game for Juventus this season and it certainly might bring some ideas to Massimiliano Allegri ahead of the midweek clash, in which Juve will need goals if they are to avoid yet another failure in the UEFA Champions League. At the same time Juventus will host Atletico, Manchester City will play Schalke 04 in the UK, precisely on the same day where fans will also be turning their attention to the Cheltenham Festival 2019 live streaming.

Cristiano Ronaldo should be back in the starting lineup on Tuesday and Juventus will need him more than ever!
