Juventus visited Empoli this Saturday and didn't exactly have an easy game. The Bianconeri grabbed the 3 points after beating the hosts 2-1 and they have much to thank Cristiano Ronaldo for the win. The Portuguese star scored twice and his second goal was probably his best for Juve so far...

Juventus are back on the winning track in the Serie A, after beating Empoli 2-1 this Saturday evening at the Carlo Castellani stadium. The Italian champions had to come back from behind following the hosts opening goal in the 28th minute, but they were happy to see how Cristiano Ronaldo led them and scored two vital goals in this tough trip. The first one was his first penalty-kick converted for Juventus, while the second was a true piece of art, a rocket from outside the box that Juve fans will remember for quite some time. Ronaldo has now 7 goals in the Serie A and has already climbed to 2nd place on the topscorer standings, just two goals behind Genoa's Piatek.

Ronaldo leaving his mark in the Serie A

With a double today, helping to bring his new team back from the dead, Cristiano Ronaldo is beginning to prove more and more important for Juventus as he continues to adjust to his new team and role. After all, if there is one thing he knows to do well, it's score goals. With 7 goals now, he's the leading scorer on the team and he's just getting started. Today, he sparked and completed a comeback win over Empoli, who pushed Juventus to the edge. The first was a penalty, coolly converted after Paulo Dybala was fouled in the box. The second, a rocket into the top corner of the net, the match winner and a stunning goal overall.

Juventus have made a habit of these types of victories all season long, they haven't played particularly well, they've allowed their opponents into the game, but no matter what they always seem to come out on top.

For Ronaldo, this is in stark contrast to a Madrid side that would constantly drop points in battles with lower competition. Juventus just always seem to be in control even if they aren't and with the likes of Leo Bonucci at the back (who had an incredible game today for The Old Lady), there's never too much to fear.

Make no doubts though... It's Ronaldo's second goal, the match winner that will get all the deserved highlights. A rocket into the top corner, vintage Cristiano... The unstoppable shot out of the reach of the goalkeeper who didn't even have a chance.

The only true worry for Juventus this season will be their sharpness when the biggest European ties come into the fold later in the season. They've done well in the UEFA Champions League so far, but the lack of week-to-week competition in the Serie A can be a detriment later in the season when the stakes are higher. But with a big game player like Ronaldo, who loves the Champions League more than anything, this could be the year...

Juventus have the best record in Europe so far and lead absolutely everything they've entered this season. They are well on their way to perhaps one of their most successful seasons (and that takes some doing) all around.
