» L.A. Galaxy 1-4 Real Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo fires the first rocket

Cristiano Ronaldo celebrating his first goal of the pre-season against L.A. Galaxy

José Mourinho decided to leave Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench for the first half. The Special One is obviously worried about Real Madrid players physical condition at this point of the season and that's why no one played the 90 minutes against L.A. Galaxy. It only took 8 minutes for Cristiano Ronaldo to show why he is regarded by many as the best player in the World. CR7 dribled several defenders before blasting a great goal to the back of the net, with his left foot.

We can just start by saying this Real Madrid team for 2011-2012 promises a lot for the "Madridismo", after an easy win by 1-4 against L.A. Galaxy. In a match facing an American side who are already in an advanced stage of their season, Real Madrid decided to deliver a great performance to all the fans that showed up in Los Angeles, United States. In the first half, it's only fair to emphasize how good Kaká looked driving several of his team's attacks, as well as the debutants Fábio Coentrão and Callejón, who also showed some great skills. Cristiano Ronaldo started warming up close to the end of the first half and he would also leave his mark right on the beginning of the second period.

Real Madrid dictated the tempo against a powerless L.A. Galaxy team and even David Beckham or Landon Donovan couldn't find a way to level things up for the Americans. In my opinion, more important than the result itself or any other particular insight from this game, is definately the promising start that Kaká had in this pre-season friendly. The Brazilian had a few runs and passes that made all the fans remember those days in AC Milan, when Kaká simply had the World at his feet and won the Best Player of the World award. If this prospects turn out to be true, Real Madrid has probably found in Kaká the best possible signing they could get for next season and they'll surely level things up with Barcelona. José Mourinho said this week that he's still expecting a new forward and rumors point mostly for 3 names: Adebayor (who still belongs to Manchester City), Sergio Kun Aguero (who has recently said he doesn't want to go back to Atletico Madrid after the Copa America failure with Argentina) and Neymar (the Brazilian has also spoken publicly about his admiration for such a great club as it is Real Madrid). That means we may soon have news regarding a new partnership that Cristiano Ronaldo will have for the attack. Watch Cristiano Ronaldo goal against L.A. Galaxy below:

Looking back at the match, the halftime arrived and Real Madrid left no chance for L.A. Galaxy to dispute the match. José Mourinho rotated almost the entire team, allowing Cristiano Ronaldo to enter and present their fans with a great performance. CR7 is still far from his ideal physical condition, but nevertheless, Ronaldo had a few good appointments and runs towards L.A. Galaxy defense. In the 53th minute, the Portuguese dribbled 3 defenders and finished with a powerful left footed strike. Great goal and a tremendous ovation from the Los Angeles Memorial Colliseum stadium. There was still time for a Benzema goal making it 0-4, after being assisted by Real Madrid's new signing, Fábio Coentrão. L.A. Galaxy struggled a bit throughout the entire game but also managed to score their goal of honor close to the end, putting the final score in a 1-4 defeat for the home team.

Real Madrid next game in the United States pre-season campaign is on the 21st of July (European Time), against the strong Mexican team, Chivas Guadalajara in San Diego. Once again, José Mourinho is expected to rotate the team and Cristiano Ronaldo might start either the first or the second half.
